Production from aquaculture (Salmon & Shrimp) is more efficient (FCR) vs other protein sources
Different sources of animal protein in our diet impose different demands on natural resources. One measure of this is the FCR "food conversion rate": an estimate of the food required to gain a pound of body mass. According to this measure, growing salmon and shrimp is approximately seven times more efficient than raising beef.
